November 10, 2023 – The Kobe Memory Basketball Club honoured to be selected as a recipient of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund. This funding will directly support The Kobe Memory Basketball Club, Remote Kobe Mentality Training Program. This legacy project will bring professional basketball training sessions to regular ballers, specially novice players. By increasing our capacity, we can confidently expand our reach while also creating new programs and events to continue to educate, inspire and play without limits for everyone.
The Community Services Recovery Fund is a one-time $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support community service organizations, including charities, non-profits and Indigenous governing bodies, as they adapt and modernize their organizations. The Government of Canada is delivering the Community Services Recovery Fund through three National Funders – Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada. The National Funders distribute funding to community service organisations providing services in communities across Canada.
Thank you to the Government of Canada, Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada for bestowing us with this incredible honour.
